Michael Sedillo

Born and raised in Texas, Michael moved to the Bay Area to teach first grade at Rocketship Education as a 2010 Teach for America corps member. After teaching for two years, Michael transitioned to working on local political campaigns in the Bay Area and then back to Rocketship Education as a teacher recruiter.
Currently a Community Organizing Fellow at StudentsFirstNY, Michael is enjoying learning how to provide communities with the skills to hold schools accountable for providing an excellent education to all children. A delusional lifelong Longhorn, Michael enjoys watching sports, reading, and playing music as a disc jockey for non-commercial, community radio stations.
