Today, StudentsFirstNY Acting Executive Director Glen Weiner released the following statement in response to this Buffalo News article:
The action taken this week by the Buffalo teachers' union is nothing more than a desperate attempt to hold on to a long-failed status quo. An effort that if successful will hurt Buffalo's kids by undermining meaningful progress toward ensuring an effective teacher is at the front of every class.
