“Representative John Lewis fought for justice and equality for all, often putting his own life on the line in service of his ideals. He was an extraordinary American, and though he will be sorely missed, his spirit will live on in those who will continue to fight for Black, Brown and otherwise marginalized lives for years to come. May his deeds and his example be a guiding light for all of us, and may his soul eternally Rest in Power.”
